Fearless Messengers



I’d like to announce the new Community Veteran Support group: Fearless Messengers. It is searchable under “Military” in Crossroads church groups. We meet once a month on a Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. 

The group has 3 missions:

1. It is faith-based. 

2. It is an action group going into the communities.

3. It is a community to help one another with the aftermath of serving in the military. 

At our first group meeting, we had a member of the VA Suicide Prevention team talk to the group. At our second group meeting, we had a speaker from People Working Cooperatively. As a result of talking to PWC, we will have our first volunteer group activity on 11/18/18.

Military Gathering

This is an invitation to all veterans to join at Crossroads on 8/21/18 at 6:30 pm in meeting room C. Our goal is to bring the veteran community together to be a force of action, a force for good, and to explore what God wants from us – our next set of orders. There are many veterans in our midst that are isolated and needing support. They may be unaware there are other veterans around to support them. This is open to all veterans. Snacks and drinks provided.

Suicide Thoughts

Here is some of the information I gathered at Fort Hood Medical Center. As we work together and share our resources around with everyone we know we can combat the problem of suicide among veterans and one day there will not be a single suicide by a veteran.

Collecting Life Saving Info

Today I took some time to go to the Medical Center in Fort Hood to asked if they have PTSD resources both on base and out. The entire 3rd floor with in the hospital is dedicated to mental health. I collected some good information. I was happy to see that there are Christian information all over the 3 rd floor hallways. Our Daily Bread when I opened the little book it landed on a page title; Into Our Storm.
